Subsea Completions Operations, Gullfaks Satellites
Jon Ola Juvik, Statoil
Statoil has extended the productive life of the Gullfaks platforms through the development of satellite fields. Over the last few years these fields have been brought on-stream through the application of new technologies and changing practices. This presentation summarises the challenges faced and captures the lessons learnt and applied in the process. Having significantly improved subsea completions operations, quality of service and reduced costs, Statoil then embarked on an intervention campaign to further boost productivity. Learn about the experiences and challenges still ahead in the concluding part of this presentation.
Deepwater Well Completions Installations and Interventions
Hans Hopper, Cooper Cameron
Cooper Cameron have identified a number of solutions for improving deep-water well completion installations and interventions operations. Their presentation reviews currently accepted operations as well as practices where future advances may/will be implemented. By improving the guidance and interfacing of modules during drilling phases significant rig time can be saved: isolation barriers in the well to BOP interfaces address integrity questions and the enhancement of ram functionality in subsea BOP stacks is discussed.
Advanced Landing String Technologies and Applications
Alan Dick, Expro Group
The Expro Group have led the landing string market in the North Sea through continuous technological improvement. This presentation summarises the applications of this technology and provides an introduction to the solutions that enable safe, efficient and reliable operations to be conducted in deepwater and harsh (HP/HT) environments. The design challenges encountered and delivery of field proven subsea safety systems provided an engaging conclusion to this event.
5 Minute Technology Bite
The RED Plug
Andy Skinner, Red Spider Technology
A highly versatile intervention set barrier that allows any number of pressure tests to be performed from surface, yet which can be opened at any time on command without intervention.
